It was full blast fun. Like the best chalet I have ever attended. Not just because it had as short sleeping time as the time needed for the microwave to heat up my cooked fish, but also due to the fact that it is amazing. The things we did was simply too epic.
I shall not highlight a lot of things such as me making a trip to the toilet, but either way, this is going to be quite long... So here are the best bits of the 2D2N (the 3rd day was only till 9am anyway) 4E1 chalet! Or rather, at least it's the best bits from my point of view.
Day 1
The chalet was bigger than I first thought! Although my mood was quickly changed when I've realised there was no Blu-ray player for my Avengers and Captain America disks... Anyway, moving on...
Barbeque was great! And, as I've expected (being a very realistic person instead of an optimist), the ordered food was too much. Only 1/2 of it was cooked during the barbeque itself. Yet time after time, despite my advices, nobody seem to care. I've warned them before, yet I find myself in a situation of "yeah-I'm-right-but-nobody-gives-a-damn-and-we-will-repeat-the-same-mistakes-again".
I really love being an optimist.
After barbeque we played charades! Pretty fun too, haha! So I volunteered to be a bimbotic leader... And it was really fun. Unfortunately there was no Spanish, otherwise I would have gained a pathetically small advantage.
Either way, night cycling started just before 11pm. We cycled and cycled and cycled. That was about it, really.
Day 2
Reached Bedok Reservoir, realised we have only covered 2/3 of expected distance. If you're a bit confused, we reached Bedok at 12:30am, so it was already Day 2.
Some of us cycled back to the chalet, while the more adventurous ones decided to head to MBS. That'll be 24km to-and-fro from Bedok Reservoir, which is in turn 16km-to-and-fro from the chalet. Being a very realistic person once again, I cycled back to the chalet. And unfortunately, the adventurers hit a road block. Like, literally. They could not cycle to MBS due to construction in the Park Connectors.
It's not their fault, but either way, I doubt they would have made it in time to start the A'Race without getting any sleep if they were to continue to MBS anyway.
Talking of the A'Race, it stands for Agency Race. Basically, it's Amazing Race in a more high-tech version. Kudos to whoever who came up with the idea and whoever involved in the planning. Thumbs up from THE MAN (as if it matters whether or not THE MAN approves...)!
After the A'Race, we slacked in the chalet before going to E!Hub for lunch. And then bowling, in which I failed terribly. There was a major glitch with the system. Despite hitting no pins, the system gave me a Strike. Either way, we had fun.
Dinner was cooked by our in-house chefs, and it was delicious! THE MAN approves once again. The chicken wings were simply amazing (probably because that's all I ate).
After that it was all about slacking around, tweeting, poker card-ing (not sure if my grammar is fantastic).
Day 3
Some of the guys went to pool after 12am. So we slacked in the room. I performed a stand-up comedy for the remaining of us. After that I went out to reflect on life and then awaited the imminent return of the guys who would entertain me by playing tai'di with me. I was delighted.
When the daylight seeped through the curtains, I rubbed my eyes. It was ending. 7am, just a mere 2 hours before all these fun would end. Or would it?
After checking out, we went for breakfast (in which instead of eating something, I actually released a lot of things). Pool was up next. That was not before Jialong suggested we play air hockey at the arcade. Simple yet fun. Pool was awesome-sauce too!
So that concludes the chalet.
I've warned you, it's very long. Or maybe it's too late to actually say that...
