Rush Hour

No, not the movie. I meant to describe my hour of.... rush.

So today was as usual, except I was 3 minutes late for work. Well, as if anyone bothered anyway, only Jim and Jason were there so doesn't matter.

Did all the normal protocols and then  changed. Lunch was hectic today, but then dinner was worse - there was going to be a 70 person large dinner! Luckily I am not working the night shift.

Still, the lunch shift was enough to drain me off. Quite tiring, running here and there and getting scolded by Chef Mario a bit. So that's about it.

Had OT till 4:30pm, was already 5pm when I reached Kovan for late lunch. Reached home at 5:45pm, showered hastily and left for Serangoon MRT Station via a bus. Knew I was going to be late, maybe reach Woodlands MRT Station at around 7pm?

Yes, I was rather correct. I did reach at 7pm. Delighted that Jia Wei got on the same train as I did, except he was at the other end of the train so we didn't bother to find each other till we alighted at Woodlands.

The four of us met at Woodlands, then we rushed for different buses to the same place! It was hilarious! Finally, though, we managed to catch a bus to Republic Polytechnic. The campus is big.

Almost bought the wrong tickets to the wrong show, before realising that Elston's Chinese Orchestra concert is on the 2nd floor instead of the 1st!

At least we arrived on time.

Concert was really good! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then went to Causeway Point for supper at Long John Silvers. Jia Wei and I talked about our work experiences at inItaly Restaurant, he does the night shifts while I do the afternoon ones. Garnesh is super funny, haha! Working there is fun, unfortunately, both of us are quitting next week. For me, I have no more time. Here's my schedule if you are curious.

18 or 19 Dec - Sec 1 Camp preparation
20 Dec - Sec 1 Registration
21 Dec - Sec 1 Camp Meeting
22 Dec - Venture Scouts Meeting
23 Dec - JJ house Christmas party
24 Dec - Family Christmas party
25 Dec - Fun day
26 to 29 Dec - Cruise
30 Dec to 1 Jan - Sec 1 Camp preparations
2 Jan - Nanyang JC Experience programme
3 to 4 Jan - Sec 1 Camp
5 to 6 Jan - Relax-before-it's-too-late days
7 to 9 Jan - Sec 4 Scouts Chalet

So yes, if you are asking me out, I may have to dig a bit... Unless you are really worth my time or are special to me, then I might consider...

Which means my last day of work is either 18 or 19 December. Which also means I've only worked 15 days. That equates to about $525 of salary, excluding OT.

Wow. Not enough. But too bad.

Have to say though, working at that Italian restaurant is fun!

Going to work in less than 10 hours' time
