The ball of fire slides down a wire

Heyhey.

If you attended the Scouts campfire yesterday, you'd know what my blog title refers to...

Anyway, let's start with Friday. Woke up at 9am, went to Kallang Squash Centre with Dad to shop for squash eyewear. They didn't have the ones I wanted, so we had to go home after 3 minutes, much to the dismay of Dad.

Did some final packing before going off to meet the other Year 1 Ventures. We had lunch at Pastamania whilst talking about life and food.

Nice to catch up with a lot of people! Fingers crossed, let it not be the last time we'll meet for a year.

Finally went to school at about 3, helped with the structures and stuff. Nothing much to highlight actually, went up to watch some dance for a while, talked about the truth with Esmonde and a few Sec 3s and a Sec 4. Nice sharing session LOL. Esmonde was the truth guy, I was more... politically correct AHA.

Had dinner, then helped out in the structures etc. Nothing much. Just helped around till about 2. Then went back to the bunk, played some Big 2, then slept. Didn't do my CSE as what I would have wanted though...

No matter.

Woke up at 7:30, then went for CIP tuition. Like last week, both Jia Wei's and my first-session tutees didn't come. So I did a lot more CSE this time, writing into my notebook. Got bored halfway so I went out to 7-Eleven to get some tea for myself and some food for Jia Wei.

2nd session was quite boring. Jia Wei's tutee came, I entertained myself with Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and then shared with Elston and Jia Wei. LOL.

After that, I rejoined the ventures in the canteen, slacked and helped to print the camp booklet. Finally managed to get the camp booklet printing correct, it was such a great achievement!

Had some COMEBUY (Ever since... January?) and then played King Kong Kang Kong with Esmonde and the scouts. AHAHA! Darn fun it was!

It started raining at 3pm. Luckily, the rain stopped just about an hour and a half before the campfire. Super Chilli-Padi to the rescue!

Ushered a lot of people in, and then the campfire started. I was expecting a few more people, so I almost missed the campfire opening. Only managed to see the fireball from the canteen because I didn't walk to the field in time. Darn it. It looked so spectacular...

The campfire wasn't bad, the skits were good, the emcees were good, the dances were good. Some idiots ran to the stage, oblivious to the blazing fire pit and ignorant to safety.

Nothing much actually.

Truth be told? Last year's campfire was better. Because the crowd was better. This year's crowd sucks. Even our own scouts looked dreadful when they went on stage for mass dance. It was like a funeral. I'm being so blunt here LOL.

But well, for the Zhonghua Scout Group, generally it's still a good job to host such a big campfire~ One scout from another school told me about how the campfire just keeps improving every year. He said,"Every time I come here, the structures get more impressive by the year."

Went home at 10:50pm, reached home at 11:20pm, slept at 12:30am. Was so shag, I only woke up today at 11am.

I was shocked when I saw the clock myself. LOL.

So I had some prata again, and then headed for Queensway Shopping Centre. After some hunting, I managed to find the nice uncle that promised me the eyewear I requested last Saturday. After purchase, I took the bus and train back to Kovan to make the lens.

When they tested my eyesight, I was so relieved. Not much of a degree change, luckily.

The degree lens cost $50, and I will only get it on Thursday. Darnnnnnn. That means I have no eyewear on Tuesday...

So much for being a nice guy to give the remaining 2 eyewears to 2 other people last Saturday. Now I'm the only one without an eyewear for this Tuesday...

Oh well. Earning karma points then.

Okay, gotta go off! Nites people.
