Counting Stars

OneRepublic - Counting Stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars, yeah we'll be counting stars

I see this life like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
And my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and you shall find
Old, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so right
Doing the wrong thing
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, coudn't I, could lie
Everything that kills me makes me feel alive

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be counting stars

I feel the love and I feel it burn
Down this river, every turn
Hope is a four-letter word
Make that money, watch it burn
Old, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I could lie, could lie, could lie
Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be counting stars

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Everything that kills me makes feel alive

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be, we'll be, counting stars

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

Take that money
Watch it burn
Sink in the river
The lessons are learnt

What an awesome song though.

Seriously, it's catchy for sure, and well, at least I can sing the song. Except for the high-pitched chorus part where I'll have to use my falsetto. Other than that, things are going pretty fine.

Regarding the change in theme of this blog, in case this is only your first few times, well, just know that I change themes like I change clothes. Please do not imply that I change clothes every 3 months, no. The point is, I change it pretty often for a blog. It depends on the "feel-of-the-moment" kind of thing.

Miley Cyrus theme is up next. When I feel like it. Maybe next month? I don't know.

Speaking of Miley Cyrus, I really like her. Like, I understand all the yadayada rubbish, that people are judging her. Here's my 3 arguments:

1. People shouldn't judge her based on her past. Need I say more? Hannah Montana last time, so what? She's moving on. She no longers want to be under the shadow of HM; she wants to be herself. That's what it's all about, isn't it? You can't expect someone to stay so childish and politically correct. It gets boring. The fact that people are judging her based on her past just shows that people don't want to move on. People don't want change. People want her to be HM forever. And ever. And ever. And ever... You get what I mean.

2. I'm all for being yourself. Miley's just being herself, like, finally being able to walk out of HM's shadows and be HERSELF. What's so bad about that? Society keeps on saying "just be yourself", and yet once we do, we face rejection. That's just... illogical. #HumanLogic

3. She's a pop artiste. There's always ways to get attention, and whether it's good or bad, Miley Cyrus certainly caught everyone's eyes. At least she's famous now! Isn't that what the pop industry is about? I mean, yes, I agree it's sad, but still, that's reality for you. Besides, she's so talented, not like she isn't. And well, she seems to be getting everyone's attention, and then proving how well she can sing. Then, everyone will slowly forgive her. I applaud this smart strategy.

Still not convinced? Watch this video (Errrrr I said this line during my PW Oral Presentation...)

Alright, that's all the time I've got for y'all. Catch up soon~
