My Results

Here comes the inevitable. Time to show my results.

Let's take a look at my JCTs first.

June Common Test
As you can see, unless you're blind, my Maths was beyond bad. It was... BREAKING BAD. Not that I watch Breaking Bad but I just happened to write it because it came to my mind. Anyway, Maths was dismal. Went into the exam room full of confidence; left the exam room in despair that I still remember 3 months later.

Econs. Well, 47.9% and yet I managed to become 79% percentile in cohort. Just shows you how badly the cohort did. Nothing much to highlight, all was within expectations.

Geography. Well. 51%. Not bad, considering being in the Top 25% percent.

China Studies in English was an utter joke. Started off with an essay, and ended with a fairytale that didn't even deserve the Wooden Spoon. Probably a chopstick. It was so bad. I didn't know what I was writing. And yes, I didn't study for it. #guilty

General Paper was pretty good. I must say, I was a tat surprised when I got my results.

Chinese was a bit poor. Didn't write the essay properly, and Paper 2's special "Oral segment" failed me.

Promotional Examinations
Before I start, here is how the Promos score you see in the table above calculated:
End-of-Year Exams: 80%
Class Participation: 10%
JCTs: 10%

Except for GP, whose percentage are these:
EOY: 70%
Class Assignment: 10%
Class Participation: 10%
JCTs: 10%

Yay! I've improved for Maths, pretty satisfied considering how much I couldn't do. Just 0.8% more and that "C" would be gone, though.

Economics was really bad. I did real poorly for End of Year. Like, I scored 43% for EOYs. Luckily, my JCTs and Class Participation scores pulled me up to a slightly uncomfortable D grade.

If I'm honest, I'm really surprised at Geography. Like, I legitimately wrote out of point for the Globalisation essay, but I managed to score a 7/16. Not that bad considering how I wrote rubbish. A slight dip in the scores from JCTs, but still, could've been worse.

General Paper. I think I felt the most heartache describing this. The essay questions were tough. But Paper 2 was harder. And so, it became worse. And worse. And then worst.

CHINESE! My best results so far, I'm real happy for that. 77.7%... Is that enough Lucky Sevens for you? Didn't manage to finish the paper though, and I was half asleep while doing. Surprising.

China Studies in English... I finally passed. Like, finally. And quite comfortably, considering how I wrote a fairytale about Mao Zedong and the seven dwarfs in July (YES, it's called June Common Test but it was held in July).

So there you go. That's all I have. That also means I can take four H2s next year~ I'm quite delighted.
