Music is my mood and FUN FACTS

That describes my life, really. Music is so relatable, yet so irrelevant sometimes. Songs about love, about losing someone - all those feelings I've never experienced before (because I've never dated), but somehow it just relates to me and when I do sing it, it's emotional. In a way. I don't know how.

Well okay, I must admit, I'm running out of personal life content to write because my days are repetitive. Just a bit of recap, though.

Yesterday was TJCarnival Open House 2014!!!! It was GREAT. Brought 2 groups around, and then it was real fun. The boys were cool dudes, and the girls were a bit awkward but I only managed to interact with them for about 10 mins before I had to leave and hand them over to another ambassador.

Mass dance was a mess! (No pun intended). But it was great fun, and sweaty as hell. Hope we dragged a few people to the school with that mass dance, 'cos that was what dragged me to TJC 1 year ago.

Okay, enough of my recaps. Time for some FUN FACTS ABOUT ME. Today we'll try and do 10. I might have covered some of these in one of my Instagram posts before, or posted on Twitter, but heck, here it is.

#1 I've never actually shaved my face and I'm 18 years-old this year. People ask me why, and I have no idea either.

#2 I'm not a mixed-blood/Eurasian, a minority did believe I was because of my British accent which is starting to get into me more occasionally nowadays.

#3 I have plans for a new hairstyle in November/December 2014. I might have hinted on it on Twitter before, I don't know... *winks*

#4 I'm a huge Android fan. I don't like Apple because of it's inflexibility and being overpriced for its specifications.

#5 I'm also a huge sound person. I love having my earphones/headphones/speakers with good sound. So far, I've a Sennheiser HD215 for my headphones, and used to own a pair of a-jays two which was marvellous for me. Lost it in December, but I've plans to buy it again in February. I'm also wanting to get a surround sound system in my room, but that's not within my monetary abilities as of yet. I will save up.

#6 I used to love green. And then blue came in when I was in secondary school. Somehow. So yeah, since then, I've always loved the colour blue.

#7 I believe that my O-Level results was a flash-in-the-pan kinda thing. I was lucky. That's why I rejected the chance to join the JC down the road from my current one, which was better in terms of L1R5 aggregate.

#8 I used to like big clothes. I used to get L-size for everything. Until mid-year 2013, when I realised my TJC polo-tees, Squash Xcel tees and 4E1 '12 tees are simply for people twice my size. That's when I started getting M and occasionally S-sized shirts.

#9 I've never actually been officially rated "Acceptable" in the height-and-weight charts. I've always been "Underweight", with the exception when I was in Primary 5.

#10 I feel blessed to be born into a middle-income family. Yet, sometimes I find myself overspending on things that I want. I guess it's human greediness, but that's the way it works, no?

#11 I've never been a big fan of Pokemon. I've played it on the Gameboy before, but since secondary school I've never really played it. I'm just not attached to it anymore, it's no longer part of my interests. That's why when asked to play, I would politely reject the chance. POLITELY. (Yeah right.)

#12 A lot of people say I have a baby face in an unusually tall body. Looking back at my photos, yeah, my face hasn't changed much since I was 2 or 3 years-old. Explains it all.

#13 I'm an agnostic, not an atheist. I'm not against any religion, but neither do I believe in any. And I want it that way.

#14 I slack a lot. I'm not a mugger. I'm serious. I barely studied at all during holidays, I would just let myself go and play computer games.

#15 I may be socially-awkward at times. It's just me, I can speak well to a crowd but when it's 1-to-1, whether it's people I like or people I've never met before, it's a bit weird sometimes. I end up speaking rubbish sometimes. When people say "Excuse me" to tell me to give way, when I'm not concentrating I can just repeat "Excuse me" unintentionally sometimes. LOL.

#16 Oh you want to know about my love profile? There's nothing to see really. It's like an empty sheet of paper.

#17 I love drawing cars and tracks. It's just fun to draw, and so creative to decorate. I could randomly take out a piece of paper and sketch an F1 car for you anyday. As long as you provide the paper. And a pencil. And $1000.

#18 I'm not a great singer. Fact. I can only sing with a covering vocal during high notes, I will go flat without a covering vocal. And my vocal isn't fantastic. All in all, I sing for fun, not for career or to impress people.

#19 My music selections change very frequently as long as I listen to the radio. When there's a song I find catchy or relatable, I'll listen to it all day. And then get tired of it. And then find new songs again. It's a cycle, and it's pretty fast. Once I suggested Pumped Up Kicks to Energio to perform because I loved it. But then I got sick of it pretty quickly. It's hard to imagine that 1 year down the road, we're still doing this song. Haha. That's why I don't love performing it anymore, I get sick of performing songs that I no longer adore. It's kinda a stumbling block for the band and for myself, because the time between suggesting the song and an actual performance is so long that I'll find new songs I love by the time there's a performance/gig.

#20 I don't like the Singapore transport system, not because it breaks down easily, but because it's not ergonomically-designed for tall people like me. I mean, I'm not even in the super-tall category, and 185cm isn't an extraordinary height. The double decker buses I always am on while on the way home are uncomfortable in the bottom deck towards the rear, where the floor heightens to make the ceiling look lower. I struggle to stand straight after the rear door of the bus. That's why I don't move to the rear of double-decker buses. Not 'cos I'm rude or not courteous, but because I CAN'T. And then there's the 2nd deck of double decker buses, where it's barely 180cm. Talk about bending your neck and having to look at the floor while walking and risking a lobotomy by the roof of the bus.

So yeah, hope you've enjoyed reading it. Because I suck. Continue laughing at me~

Peace
