International Pie Day

Actually it's 14 March cos it's 3.14... Geddit?
No.
TODAY WAS ME BIRTHDAY. So sing a birthday song to me you egg nose.
Just kidding. No obligations.
Today was.... interesting.
Started off with a low profile stealth mode to assembly. Then obviously, the wishes came and stuff. Classmates, PDP mate and a few other friends. Thanks guys!
So.... after that, it was lessons. Fast forward till 1:20pm.
I knew they were preparing something. And when they finally came with Jamie holding a pie with a sparkler on top of it, I was surprised - because it was a pie with a strawberry on it! Like, pie for me on my birthday. Such appropriateness.
So here's the pie.

Looks yummy. Thought it was just a pie from the GNC. The custard was overflowing and I was excited because I LOVE CUSTARD.

Nathaniel covered my eyes and Huda fed me the pie. First bite and it tastes good. Pie with custard.

2nd bite, and I started to smell a bit of sourness. Took the bite, and tasted beansprout amongst the custard. It was getting weird.

3rd bite, and I tasted noodles. Like, the zhajiangmian (Basically, some Japanese dry noodles). With custard. Yes. With custard.

I almost puked. Put the pie down and never took a bite again. HAHAHA.

So here's the process of making the pie, which Meng Leng showed me later on.

Bought a chicken pie and dug out the fillings.

Then they filled the base with spicy toufu (not shown in pic)

And then a bit of noodles which I love and a bit of vegetables which I like. They know me well. Except that I've never eaten this particular noodle before. Close enough.

And then an egg yolk on it. With a bit of sugar. This is becoming a recipe for diarrhoea.

And finally, custard to top it all off and make the first bite blissful and convincing.

And here's how it looked. Now you know why I was convinced.

Anyway, thanks loads to CG 27/13 for making this a funny birthday! HAHA interesting concept!

And then after lunch, Jia Wei, Gladys and Li Ling decided to get me something... Except I had to awkwardly go up the students' lounge, which is the old SBS bus, and retrive it. And here's what it is.
Jiawei says I can't open it till Friday. Being a loyal friend, I decided I should not open it till Friday. Or till... curiosity kills me. But anyway, thanks buddies! For always sticking around together when we first came into TJC together from ZHSS!

After that, there was no Contact Time for our class so I hang-ed around till 3pm. Huda told me to go downstairs to the library's 1st floor. And I got this gigantic birthday card from the class and OG! :D

I had to censor it. Whoever drew that thing.

So yes. Nice card from CG27/13 and a few from OG19/14! LOVE Y'ALL MANY MANY. Especially that Twitter bird. It's so cute and it's in blue.

Then, went home to change and go out to have ICHIBAN BOSHI at NEX with the family! Bro's workplace, except he wasn't working today. So he commanded his fellow waiters around like a boss even though he's a small fry. 'Cos they can't do nothing to him; he's a customer, not their teammate. HAHA. Hilarious.

Here's some pictures of the good and huge quantity food! Plus the tempura ice cream which I devoured before taking a picture... oops.

So yeah. That sums up my birthday! Thanks for making this a good and simple 18th! Really love the simplicity, seriously. I don't wanna make this so big so... Thanks guys, for being part of this! :) Even if it's a simple wish, or a big one, it's a wish at the end of the day, and I just wanna say... thank you! :D

Kthxbye

Fuller than ever
Eating custard with noodles is like stirring ice cream with lightbulb and rubber bands

Song of the day:
