Haven't really eaten one in a long time...

Anyway. Today's topic is passionfruit, without the fruit part.

During guidance time today, we were told to share our career aspirations. Obviously, if you'd know me well enough, I've a strong determination to become a radio DJ. And I wasn't afraid to share it to the class.

Everyone just went "WOAHHHHHHHH" and then Wong Zhen was joking that if she hears me on radio in about 5-8 years' time, she'll say "EH MY FRIEND MY FRIEND" while pointing excitedly like a toddler towards her car's radio player.

It was funny though. I thought there was less surprise because I haven't really kept my ambitions silent to be honest. HAHA.

So here are some reasons why I really want to become a radio DJ.

1. I love talking. I just want to tell the whole world what stupid things I've ever done in my life. As the Muttons say, "Life is all about laughing at yourself. If you take life too seriously, it's boring." I'd love to be able to talk on national radio, insulting myself and poking fun of what I did in school. I have many funny occasions to share about, seriously.

2. I love pop music. I can't imagine not working at a contemporary hits radio station. Don't tell me to work at Class 95FM or something... Anyway, pop is just so fun and stylish. I know people can call pop "trashy" and "running out of ideas", but I like that. Different opinions we all have.

3. I love listening to people's requests and stuff. Like, I'd really love to open up platforms for people to have fun and talk about funny things. Won't that be awesome?

4. I think I'm quite funny. And punny. But only with a DJ partner. Like, if I go solo, I won't be that entertaining. But if I had a partner I'm comfortable with, them jokes and puns will flood like how Aswan Dam floods the Mississippi. (I'm not that stupid, I'm a geography student, I know that the Mississippi River houses the Aswan Dam. And that Manchester is in Honduras. I know my geography well.)

So yeah. Stupid blog post but yeah, just sharing my passion with y'all. Just thought I'd let people know my ambitions and hopefully, this helps a bit in me becoming a DJ.

By the way, I did have the urge to try for 987FM Radio Star 2013 just last year, but I didn't because it was nearing promos... But oh well. Chances will come soon enough.
