You see, I'm in quite a bit of a problem.
I chose to go to Temasek Ignite, even though I was never needed to. I shouldn't have. And it's not because it sucked, but because a certain teacher had to come at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
Or rather, it's just my fault, okay, fine. I just... used my phone for barely 1 minute (which is a bit long, fair enough) because I was bored at the speech that dragged on for ages. So obviously, being unlucky, I got my phone confiscated for a while, and then got slapped with an RC.
I've not gotten one before, and I never wanted to. Just happened to be unlucky I guess...
But I still don't fancy some people. Like, come on, it's not a freaking lecture. It should be a casual event. What you're making it into is as equivalent to being punished for using a phone in the Birdnest Stadium while the Chinese President makes a speech. It's completely rubbish. I know there are rules in school, but you can't make every event that involves someone talking a "lecture". Like, it's supposed to be an informal event. But you had to make it formal, just phones can be confiscated greedily.
Okay enough said. I know what I said above may land me in trouble, but heck, it's my blog and I'm not flaming the school or anyone directly by stating his/her name. I've not thrown names nor titles here. I'm free to say what I want. It's up to your imagination and inference to fill in the gaps.
So yes, pretty much, rules have been a big deal in school this week. Got a friend who got caught because he didn't "shave" his beard, even though it's only visible when you stand 10cm away from him. Like, wow. I mean I won't have such a problem because I've never actually shaved before (believe it or not), but wow. Just wow.
Why didn't I think of all these when I had the chance to voice out?
Maybe 'cos sometimes sucking it up is the way to go. Welcome to life, where sucking up works all the time and logic doesn't.
I guess I'll just accept it and serve 1 RC next term...
There's always a first time anyway!
I'm not going to go on with a politically-incorrect and very very clique lecture on why rules should be loosened. Everyone talks about this issue everywhere, so let's skip that.
I've had... 6 birthday parties this week? Like, it's amazing. 1st one was with the class on my actual birthday. 2nd one with the family at Ichiban Boshi @ Nex. 3rd one was with the class again, celebrating with the Dec to March babies. Then there was a 4th with the squashers who dropped a surprise whilst we were "supposed to wait for Mr Lim to talk to us about something important". That one really surprised me, haha. I thought I was forgotten - but I wasn't. HAHA.
5th one was on Fri night when the Energio band members brought me around blindfolded in nex, making me look dumb and making them look like either 1. rapists; 2. kidnappers or 3. holding me hostage. But they put a "Keep Calm because it's my birthday", and told everyone to say Happy Birthday to me. LOL. I was embarrassed like hell. But well.... I had no choice. Led into a cab, and then they brought me around, before arriving at my house. Like, heck. We went out for dinner and returned to my house. We drank some Breezers, took a lot of time trying to fix a gigantic hamsters' cage they bought me, and then danced and talked rubbish. Super super fun, thanks to the band! Thanks guys.
6th one was on Saturday, a small one. Went to NUS Open Day with Qinying, Kahleng and Esmonde. They popped up with an OREO CHEESECAKE! My love. Thanks guys~ We played Bridge and stuff at my place thereafter.
Then there's this person who dropped by and gave me a Pooh keychain! Thanks Fatma~ I'll consider that as a 7th.
So yes, that amounts to 7. But I said 6 at the start. Screw math. Screw logic.
I've something interesting to share on Wednesday here - so stay tuned! It's something about... love. Or so I think.
Powahhhhhhhhhh
I think we're at the fields near the school
