Let's just acknowledge the good things about the iPhone 6.
I've a lot of respect for Apple for being able to develop such an integrated software. Because iOS and iPhone are both built in-house, Apple is able to integrate iOS into their iPhones. Android probably will never be able to achieve the integration that iOS will have, because the Android community is so fragmented with so many brands.
That also means specs-wise, we see an iPhone having a dual-core 1.5GHz processor while a Galaxy Note 4 having a quad-core 2.5GHz processor. And I may argue that the latter may lag slightly more than the iPhone on occasion.
They've also made the screen bigger. I think it's great, catering to market demands etc.
I do think the iPhone is a top, top phone. No doubts.
What I hate is how overhyped the whole thing is. We've got people queueing up for what is potentially the biggest selling iPhone ever.
The media jabs at every opportunity to praise an iPhone for functions that have existed for years without acknowledging that it already has existed. Take predictive text for example. It's been on Android phones for at least 2 years now. Take the bigger 5.5 inch screen for example. It's been on ever since Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which is 2 years old. Yet the media keeps on hyping it like no one has ever done it before.
I get why people buy Apple. It's simple to use, it's integrated, it's pretty much a long-term phone.
I just don't get why the media gets so excited over it. It's a big change this time, I'd agree, but everyone makes it seem like nobody else has had a similar technology before! It's ridiculous. I've seen articles solely talking about the iPhone 6's "almighty" predictive text.
Also, if you're looking to multi-task, don't buy an iPhone, because it can't. Android phones are much better doing split-screen and different windows.
I could go on and on about why both operating systems/phones are better than each other, but I spare you the bore.
Oh, P.S.: Apple holds a patent for curved screen technology, but has yet to introduced a curved-screen device.
They always want to be first to get patents, eh?
