Time out & sneak peek

I have an injury problem.

2 months ago, I played badminton. We all know badminton requires a lot of fast leg movements and you have to change directions really quickly.

So what happened was this: whilst I was about to come to a halt after sprinting to catch the shuttlecock, my big left toe went up against my shoe. Needless to say, it hurt a little. But I carried on anyway, because it was pretty common when I was playing squash too.

I then realised the extent of the problem when there was bleeding under my big toe nail.

But I continued playing anyway. It hasn't affected my daily life. Until, well, now. 2 months later.

It's the phase where the blood is now a clot and my toe nail is now problematic. It's just not in the best condition. It doesn't hurt at all now, which is good, but I can no longer play sports for at least 2-3 months.

Reason? Well, due to the formation of the blood clot between the skin and the toe nail, the toe nail is now rather loose. It's not VERY loose, because it's still pretty stuck on and I don't think it'll fall off. But it's just looser than before.

What that also means is that I can't play badminton or squash or kick a ball with my left foot (and sadly, left leg is my master foot). The nail needs to be taken care off, and I cannot afford another blow against it.

Which is kind of sad but it gives me an excuse to grow fatter by not doing rigorous exercises. Unless until I move to the new house which has a gym and I'll probably run out of excuses after that...

Speaking of which, I will be moving quite immediately after As! The house is ready already, actually. It's all my fault that the family isn't moving yet - because they want me to concentrate on my A-Levels. To actually rub it in my face, my parents showed me daily how much they want to move immediately; by visiting the new house almost every single day, tweaking, cleaning up, adding a few accessories, and just making some magical touches to it.

Here are the very, very initial stages of the living and dining area. It's still not fancy enough yet, because not everything has arrived. Just a sneak peek, I guess.

The dining light above actually changes colour. Like, literally, it's a rainbow colour sequence.

The man behind all the scenes, getting the house ready.

The coffee table can actually be folded upwards to about 0.8m and expanded by 100% in size.
The TV is temporary.

It is very initial, the living room is not ready because the front cabinet is still rather odd-looking.

But I really cannot wait to move in. I really, really cannot wait. Although I'll miss this little fella who loiters below my house and would come to me everytime and curl up at my feet.

I've never actually interacted with this one. But he's always so mysterious and secretly judging us all...

This is literally the perfect ginger cat.

But yes. I'll miss the cat I call Bobette (initially it was Bob but we found out it was a girl so... They always say adding a "ette" at the back makes it a girl's name.)

I do actually want a cat and I'll probably get one within my lifetime. They are just... boss.

I prefer cats over dogs because cats really show their personality. They demand to be treated like a king. Sometimes they are shy, sometimes they are angry. When they want something, they can either demand it with a loud meow or curl up to you. To me, cats feel so much more personable and human-like. They don't just do anything as you want them to. They have personalities.

And of course, they are so chubby and cute.

Recently, I also have a Maroon 5 frenzy. So here's 3 songs from their new album, V, to sign off this post.

Songs of the day:
Maroon 5
In Your Pocket
(So wait, you think that I don't know what this is really all about?)

Unkiss Me
(I lied to my heart 'cause I thought you felt it. You can't light a fire, if the candle's melted.)

My Heart Is Open ft. Gwen Stefani
(One more "no" and I'll believe you. I'll walk away and I will leave you be. And that's the last time you'll say "no", say "no" to me.)

Absolutely love these songs.
