I'm just kidding.
But here's what I've learnt in 2014.
1. My love for pussy
Cats. Pussycats. Cats. Not what you're thinking.
My love for cats grew immensely stronger in 2014 because I've started following so many cat accounts on Instagram. Here's a few cats I find adorable, if you're on Instagram and fancy some pussies (I mean cats) you can follow these guys:
omgdeedee
A cat named Gary with his intern Margo and camera-shy brother Carlos. Gary is bossy, and yet when you watch his Instavids, his meows are actually very feminine. Oh the highlight? He's got a beard. You've not heard wrong.
pitterpatterfurryfeet
2 Siberian Lynx Point kittens. Alice is the one with 2 very distinct black lines just below her eyes near her nose, and Finnegan is the one with a more distinctive twig-like fur on his forehead. Don't worry, took me weeks to differentiate them. But both are very, very adorable and very much the breeds I would want. The photography is amazing.
junethekitty
A Siberian kitten! Love their fur, and June has got a small mustache too. Doesn't take away her feminine side though, and she's playful and fluffy for sure.
_hobbes_
A ginger cat that is super huge in size, Hobbes is extremely photogenic and looks the business. Took me a while to actually like him, but dayum, he's a very cute cat. Sometimes Chloe, his sister, gets featured too.
heather1013
Heather's a cat owner, and she's been through a lot. After the death of her first Instagram cat called Pickles due to a disease, she then contracted pneumonia and went into a short coma. She then adopted Bobby, who was equally adorable, but sadly passed away less than 2 months later due to a suspected heart attack. She now has Beans for company. Either way, there's just something about this account that I like. Beans is adorable, and even though the photography is not the best and certainly no where as decent as the above 4 accounts, Beans is still rather adorable. The end.
I have a lot more accounts but we'll end it here for all you non-cat enthusiasts.
2. People get on your nerves
Sometimes people are born and designed to annoy the heck out of you. I've met tons of annoying people this year, and it's taught me that some people are really not people you'd want to hangout with. Be it "neighbours", pretentious people, people that get you involved in things you weren't informed about, and so much more.
Obviously, I've been blessed with the opportunity to move out of the old house, which also means I've left some people behind, and whilst others are continuing to annoy me, at least the numbers are less. I guess.
3. Car drawing
Pretty much reignited my love for cars towards the 2nd half of the year, which ironically was nearing my A Levels. But heck. I've always loved drawing cars, and I'm happy to be back "in the business".
4. People choose to be there
Some people think they have no obligations to be here for you. And it is true - nobody owes you anything to be there for you even in your hardest times. People have grown to the expectation that someone will always be there for you to support you, and shower you with words of encouragement, and I'll admit I've had that expectation for so long.
2014 has taught me that people themselves choose to be there for you, and bitch, you better be glad that person was at all. I've learnt to become more reliant on not others, but myself, because people, no matter how good they may be to you, may leave eventually. So what's the point of telling them so much, right?
I know I may sound self-centered and trying to isolate myself from others, but sometimes, you have to. Getting too emotionally attached to a friendship or a relationship sucks, because when your expectation falls short, you can't handle it.
Quote of the day? People come, people go.
5. Air travel shakes me
We know air travel is safe, and it's been super safe in 2014. It's just that with 3 high-profile cases, we all seem to freak out, including myself. But 2014 has been a year of records for aviation safety despite these incidents, and I guess 2015 presents us with a chance to reset records and have faith.
I'll admit that my flight from Krabi back to Singapore wasn't smooth at all, with tons of turbulence. But then again, given the short distance of the flight, the plane didn't ascend to very high altitudes and thus there were more clouds, explaining its turbulence. Still, I was a bit scared that that would have been it. I couldn't even watch Top Gear in peace on the plane without pausing constantly and checking if everything is fine.
But hey, air travel is safe, and it will strive to be safer in 2015!
6. Banter is a good word
But not many understand in Singapore. Unless you're on Twitter, then yes, people may understand. Other than that, in normal conversations, people don't really know its meaning.
Sad, really, especially in a nation full of funny people.
7. YouTube
I had thought of starting a YouTube channel about like audio blogs. Or vlogs, even. Maybe become a vlogger like Anna Akana (who, by the way, I admire for her vlogging style). But meh, probably too early for me, and I'm camera-shy for the moment.
As a Youtube viewer however, I'm satisfied with 2014. I've mostly watched gaming channels on YouTube and I've loved their content. Also discovered some motoring channels, and plenty of things that have kept me entertaining. Old shows like Smosh and Raywilliamjohnson have sadly run out of gas in my opinion, and I've stopped watching those.
8. Disappointments
I didn't do good for my A Levels, I'll finally admit. I was a bit depressed, but soon as the last paper was over, I couldn't be bothered.
Another thing I guess that leaves me unsatisfied leaving 2014 was a good overseas trip. Kukup was rubbish, nothing to do and only nice food. Krabi was disappointing because of the lack of activities beyond island tours and a pathetically small night market. I am dying to go to Europe, or at least somewhere like Taiwan at least for a proper vacation. Guess that will not happen in 2014, and maybe not even 2015.
I'm also sad that certain things I thought would happen didn't. Mostly friend meetups I guess.

But then again, 2015 presents us with another chance to make some disappointments turn around, right? Hopefully some unfinished business in 2014 gets to be fulfilled in 2015. I really hope some things happen and others don't.
2015 hopes? We'll see if I post tomorrow.
